FREE Workout Video of the Week – 2/19/10

I’m going to make today’s post quick and let the videos do the talking.

Lately, I’ve had a lot of people ask me what they can do for cardio workouts at home when they don’t have any equipment – treadmill, bike, elliptical, stair climber, etc. By the way, as I’m writing this, it’s February in Minnesota – not exactly ideal conditions for running or biking outside.

The fact is, you don’t need ANY equipment to get a great cardio workout.  Body weight workouts rock!!  You can do them anywhere and you have no excuses. :-b

With your body weight, some creativity and some killer Workout Muse tracks you can rev your metabolism to new heights and burn fat faster than ever.

Here’s one of my favorites. I call it the Body Weight Cardio/Core Blitz.

Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week – #5

This week’s Rapid Fat Loss & Fitness Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout is another bodyweight workout program, and we’re focusing on cardio workouts at home.

So, yesterday was a sprint day for me, and it was raining again!  ?  That’s two weeks in a row.

No big deal.  With a little creativity and some drive you can use your bodyweight to create some of the best weight loss exercises imaginable.

Check out this bodyweight only cardio workout.  It’s an awesome way to change things up or get your cardio in when it’s raining out or you just don’t feel like going outside:

Station 1
Burpees

Station 2
Ice Skaters

Station 3
Mountain Climbers

Station 4
Side-to-Side Over-the-Line Jumps

Station 5
I hit some abs (not in the video)
I super-setted knee raises (sat on the edge of the picnic table) and toe touch crunches

Perform each exercise for 15 seconds followed by a 15 second rest – you really gotta get after it during the work phase!  Perform 8 total all-out bouts for a total of 4 minutes.  Rest for 1 minute and begin the next circuit.

Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week – #4

This week’s Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week is about getting your cardio in, even when it’s raining.

Yesterday was a sprint day for me, and it was raining. ?  Ah, have no fear because the bands are here!

Check out this cardio workout at home.  It’s an awesome way to change things up or get your cardio in when it’s raining out.

Station 1
Backpedals

Station 2
Shuffle Left

Station 3
Shuffle Right

Station 4
Running in Place

Station 5
Squat Rows

Perform each exercise for 20 seconds followed by a 10 second rest (and transition for circuits with multiple exercises).  Perform 8 total all-out bouts for a total of 4 minutes.  Rest for 1 minute and begin the next circuit.
