The days are a little thrown off this week.  I goofed my post yesterday (set the wrong publish day), but still want to get the Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week out to you.

It’s Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week time!

Today’s video is going to be part of a 4 week series.  Let me explain.

This month I will be launching my new Online Video Boot Camp – an online version of my kick @$$ rapid fat loss and fitness boot camp program.  My Chaska,MN area Look Great at the Lake Boot Camp just completed it’s first month, and members are absolutely loving it!  We’ve had some killer results already!!

As great as Look Great at the Lake Boot Camp is, it’s not available for everyone. :-(

For some, it’s a price thing, but for most it’s a location thing – after all, it’s only here in Chaska, MN.  I do have some people making a heck of a commute to be here though.  I have boot campers coming from Plymouth, Eagan and Cologne to name a few.  However, if you’re beyond the 30-minute radius, say 3 hours or 3 days, you’re hosed if you want to be a part of this growing program.

Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week – #10

I’m going a little off the reservation with today’s Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week.

I wanted to get a little creative. :-)

You know, sometimes when it comes to indoor cardio at home you just don’t feel like going for a run.  If you don’t have a bike or a stepper at home what else can you do?  I’ve shown you various locomotion drills in the past, and they’re great!  However, if you use your imagination and a great Reactive Resistance Band Package you can create your own home-made Rowing Machine!

The rowing machine kicks @$$ for high-intensity interval training!

Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week – #9

Today’s Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week is going to be a little different.  Each week I deliver a FREE kick-@$$ High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout video.  These workouts are hands-down the most efficient and effective workouts you’ll find for rapid fat loss and fitness.

However, you can’t train with HIIT all the time.  You’ll burn out for sure.

Personally, I perform HIIT resistance/cardio workouts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  In a half-hour I blast my body, burn tons of calories and boost my metabolism through the roof for the rest of the day.  On Tuesday and Thursday I perform HIIT sprint workouts.  More metabolic boost along with speed development.  Minute for minute, sprint work is the very best type of cardio you can do. 

But, as I’ve said you can’t be all HIIT all the time.  On the weekends I tone it down and do more traditional low-moderate intensity, longer duration, “fat-burning” cardio.

Side note:  while you burn a higher % of fat during low-moderate intensity cardio, you don’t burn nearly as many calories, and you don’t get the fat-burning metabolic boost for the rest of the day that comes with HIIT.

Question:  Why bother with low-moderate intensity cardio then?

Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week – #8

Are you ready for Part 2 of last week’s Continuous 30:30 High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout?

In today’s Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week I’m going to show you the second circuit from last week’s workout that I did in my Chaska, MN Look Great at the Lake Boot Camp.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • 4 exercises:  Overhead Press, Mountain Climbers, Hammer Curls, Pillar Rotations
  • Perform each exercise for 30-seconds with NO REST between exercises!
  • After the 4th exercise (Pillar Rotations in this case) rest for 30 seconds.
  • Repeat the series 3 more times for 4 total rounds lasting 10-minutes.

This is an awesome express workout with a little extra special focus on the shoulders and arms.  Combine it with the circuit from last week and you’ve got one hell of a total body workout.

If you’re short on time, don’t skip your workout.  Just blast out this total body workout in 10-minutes.

Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week – #7

It’s that time of the week again!  Time for your Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week.

I’m sorry I’m a little late today.  I let someone (who shall remain nameless) borrow my video camera and she didn’t return it on time :-b

Today’s workout features and interesting, and kick-@$$, interval format – Continuous 30:30 sets.

I rocked my Chaska, MN Look Great at the Lake Boot Camp class with this today.  We did two different work sets.  I’ll give you the first one today and I’ll save the second one for next week :-)

Here’s the Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week:

4 exercises:  Front Squats, Push-ups, High Pulls & Bent Rows

Perform each exercise for 30-seconds with NO REST between exercises!

After the 4th exercise (Bent Rows in this case) rest for 30 seconds.

Repeat the series 3 more times for 4 total rounds lasting 10-minutes.

This is an awesome express total body workout.

If you’re short on time, don’t skip your workout.  Just blast out this total body workout in 10-minutes.

If you’ve got more time, repeat it or pick 4 new exercises for round two.

Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week – #6

I’ve been really digging the bodyweight workouts the past few weeks, and so has my class.  I’ve been typically doing 2 resistance band dominant workouts and one bodyweight workout.  It’s a nice mix and also teaches my campers how to easily get a butt-kicking fat burning workout anywhere, anytime.

This week’s Fat Burning Boot Camp Workout Video of The Week comes right from my boot camp class, Look Great at the Lake Boot Camp in Chaska, MN.  I’ve got a great group of folks (35 as of today) of all different fitness levels who are super-dedicated to creating the healthy, fit, tight & toned body that looks great naked they deserve.

I took them through the following Tabatas style high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout using just their bodyweight:

  1. Push-ups
  2. Prisoner Squats
  3. Alternating Toe Touch Crunches
  4. Floor Hypers
  5. Burpees
  6. Speed Jacks
  7. Stickups (this looks like a shoulder press with no weight, but you’re actually squeezing your shoulder back  the whole time and lifting your arms by rotating your shoulder blades up – awesome for posture and rehab, but go slow on the Range of Motion if you have bad shoulders).
  8. Sprint in Place

Perform each exercise for 20 seconds followed by a 10 second rest and transition.  Perform 8 total all-out bouts for a total of 4 minutes.  Rest for 1 minute and begin the next circuit.
